The Roland is fantastic for one-off events where you may need to do last minute scaling and/or adjustments to inputs to make random sources work. Every input has scaling capabilities, as does the output. The ATEM doesn't have that, but if you're building a studio setup you have time to correct format issues outboard. However, it's not going to do what you need because it can only switch 4 sources. There are multiple types of inputs for each source that can be switched, but you don't want to be trying to change input types during an event and pretend that's switching. The VR50 can only switch between 4 inputs on the fly with the hardware buttons, as you can see in a picture of the unit it has 4 input keys -You can have more than 4 connected but you have to go through the menus on the touch screen to change the input assigned.

The Hypnotist's Love Story is the third book I've read by Liane Moriarty; the fourth if you count watching the HBO limited series adaptation of her book Big Little Lies. After watching the series, I got interested in reading more from her, forgetting (ironically) that I had read What Alice Forgot years before. IE you can have an SDI and an HDMI source both hooked up to Input 1, but only one of those can be active at once, changing an input from SDI to HDMI or vice versa through the menu isn't going to be a clean switch and I would never do it on the fly on a live program out.The v800HD can properly switch 8 inputs.
